Goodbye Ordinary

I will recount the steadfast love of the LORD, the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has granted us. Isaiah 63:7

Kalindi Update February 26, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Lori @ 8:51 pm
I just wanted to let you all know that everything went really well with Kalindi.  She was so calm beforehand – until she was about to leave the pre-op area and found out that I wasn’t coming with her.  She cried a few tears, but we calmed her down.  The anesthesiologist came back and talked with her, joking around and got her laughing.  The doctor was very good with her as well and had her feeling at ease.  It was a very quick procedure.  She was groggy and dizzy for awhile and it was quite funny to watch her try to eat a popsicle.

She hated the IV and wanted it out right away, although she did not get her wish.  You know how they are at the hospital, it is their way or no way. ha  She also got a fun ride in a wheelchair to the front door of the hospital.

At home, even though they said to eat soft things that would be easy on the stomach, after eating two scrambled eggs she started eating what Kira wasn’t finishing of her lunch and then asking for other things to eat.  I honestly think getting roused out of bed early and missing breakfast was the worst part of today for Kalindi! 🙂  (Except maybe the IV)
Thank you for your prayers!

    Sarah,
Thank you for stopping by. I actually thought of you as we took Kalindi to the hopsital. It was so easy for us, we have insurance and easy access to good doctors. We don’t always stop to be thankful for what we have.

Kalindi is doing great. No pain and she is healing well.
